However, there was just no stopping Jonathan Saunders reign as he takes the title for the second year running. Back to his best and integrating print into his designs he has stormed the catwalks and once again reminded us why we have honoured him as our Designer of the Year 2011.
Having built up a strong reputation within the fashion world we are proud to honour Henrietta Ludgate as our Young Designer of the Year 2011. This talented woman's flair for structural design, the minimalistic form and her uncanny ability to design with a real sense of her Scottish Heritage makes her our winner.

You heard it here first! We honoured the fresh faces of Scottish design and announced Campbell Dunn as our Graduate of the Year 2011. Despite being a graduate menswear designer, his very feminine dress was tailored perfectly to the M&S customer yet he kept his own personal stamp. He wins a month's work placement within the M&S design head office in London and his dress will be sold within the 'Limited Collection' range in this iconic of British retailing institution. A truly exceptional talent whose designs will no doubt be gracing the catwalk in years to come.
Harris Tweed Hebrides has taken the title of Textile Brand of the Year 2011. Instantly recognisable, a brand that delivers on quality and shines a light on Scotland's most precious of industries by helping to inspire some of the top designers in the world. It has helped revitalize the industry and taken the fabric into the front-line of 21st century fashion and design.
In a category which honours individuals who communicate within this fashionable industry, it's a true testament to their character that they all remember their Scottish roots. This year Angus Munro, the New York based Scot and charismatic MD was ranked as one of the top 5 Casting Directors in the world as well as securing the title of Scottish Communicator of the Year 2011.
Emerging as the Model of the Year 2011 winner, Tali Lennox is the offspring of musical royalty, Annie. Taking the fashion world by storm she can add Acne, Christopher Kane, Burberry Prorsum and Prada to her employers so far. She is one to watch for 2011 and so far is exceeding all expectations.
A hosiery brand which can count Paloma Faith, Diana Vickers and Marina Diamandis as fans. The creative vision of Mhairi McNicol and Chloe Patience sees Bebaroque being honoured as our Accessory Designer of the Year 2011. Luscious, skilfully produced hosiery which enchant us with an array of designs, these girls are unique and promote a 'fashionable Scotland'.
This award honours a non-Scottish resident who has made a significant contribution to the promotion of Scottish designers, manufacturing and of course The Scottish Fashion Awards, continuing to raise Scotland's profile within the fashion industry around the world. This year the accolade goes to acclaimed broadcaster and Fashion Director, Hilary Alexander. Twice crowned British Journalist of the Year this woman is highly influential in her field and we are thrilled that she continues to support Scottish fashion by being part of our judging panel. She has supported this event since its inception in 2006, graced our judging panel every year and attends in person. We are grateful for her passionate support of a 'fashionable Scottish' - she is a true ambassador for this event and indeed our nation.
Professor Pamela Gillies was awarded the prestigious Fashion Innovator Award 2011 for her role as Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University, which became the first Scottish university to open a London Campus. The new base, know as GCU London, was launched in September 2010 and has already recruited an impressive amount of students. This innovative approach to fashion learning has meant that GCU London has delivered an exciting, modern learning environment, delivering professional masters level programmes from the heart of London. Courses such as International Fashion Marketing, Tourism Management and Luxury Brand Marketing have led GCU to become a leader in the field of learning. Having two campuses in the UK's most fashionable cities means that GCU is at the forefront of teaching, research and consultancy in fashion and luxury marketing in Europe.
An individual whose contribution to the fashion industry means we are forever indebted. The Hall of Fame 2011 recipient is awarded to the iconic photographer, Rankin. His style and influence throughout the industry is iconic and his art pushes boundaries whilst capturing the rawness of the subject's beauty. Having shot everyone from the Queen to Madonna, he is internationally renowned and we take great privilege in inducting this creative genius into our Hall of Fame 2011.
