WELCOME
Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s greatest landmarks, will be the venue once again for the third annual Scottish Fashion Awards, on Sunday 29th June 2008.
Set in the highlands between Edinburgh and Glasgow, the castle towers above some of the most important battlefields in Scotland's history.
The fusion of history and fashion will make for the perfect venue for this celebration when international fashion players, celebrities and fashion icons will descend upon this magnificent feat of Renaissance architecture to celebrate Scottish fashion.
Glamorous fashion television presenter Louise Roe will be hosting the glittering 2008 event. As the former face of Vogue.TV, Louise has interviewed countless international fashion designers across the world. From behind the scenes at the global fashion weeks to one to one interviews with fashion’s favourite stars such as John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs to name but a few. As a roving reporter for ‘The Clothes Show’, a regular fashion presenter on GMTV and having recently appeared on both Britain’s Next Top Model (Living) and Project Catwalk (Sky One) as a judge, her fashion industry experience is invaluable. We are delighted that this stylish and statuesque face of fashion will be taking to the stage to present these coveted awards.
Founder and event producer Tessa Hartmann said: “Over the last three year’s there have been some amazing Scottish successes who have been recognized in the international fashion arena from their fashion peers and indeed the commercial market place. Our objective with these awards is to recognize and applaud their contribution to the world of fashion and I am thrilled that we have continued to do that in this third year. As an event, we see it as our role to champion individuality, quality, style and most importantly the ‘Scottishness’ that these talented individuals and companies possess. The achievements of the designers, cashmere houses, stylists, writers and fashion photographers continues to impress our international judging panel and at the same time we take credit for acknowledging fashion futures stars with our new talent category.
