The Scottish Fashion Awards have announced today that the 8th annual fashion extravaganza, will take place in a stunning historic location; the home of Scotland in London – Dover House on Wednesday 9th October 2013. The awards will be co-hosted by the Secretary of State for Scotland Michael Moore MP and awards founder Dr Tessa Hartmann.

Edinburgh born and raised designer Patrick Grant has had a terrific 2013. With the talented Patrick a judge in successful BBC show The Great British Sewing Bee and then being announced as the first designer for Debenhams' menswear range Hammond & Co. in over ten years, since Jeff Banks last designed for the line in 2001. With such a fantastic year already, it was great news for Patrick to be announced as an Honorary Professor in Business at Glasgow Caledonian University, with the ceremony taking place in July 2013.

The Scottish Fashion Awards would like to pay tribute to Mrs Tessa Fortune-Fraser who died suddenly, at the age of 79, on Thursday 21st March 2013. Tessa, although petite in frame was a larger than life figure, energetic, glamorous and a selfless individual who was devoted to her husband John, whom she was married to for 57 years and her children.
